Ergon Variable Geometry Scoop Stretcher / Spinal Board

Incl. Tax €1,221.40
Designed and developed by rescue operators and emergency devices expert technicians to offer outstanding performance, never achieved before. Guarantees maximum patient's comfort in the main decubitus areas thanks to a special soft material moulded on a high resistance plastic polymer (Me.Ber. exclusive HC3 - High Comfort Composite Cell). Ergon combines the ductility and flexibility of the scoop strecther with the other characteristics of the spinal board.

The handles are lined with HC3 and are inclined of 20° to allow the best grip. Special eyelets and pins have been positioned along the handles to easily fix snap hooks straps.

The distance between the two halves is just 25 mm. This enables a perfect containment of the spinal column if compared to those normal scoop stretchers which are separated by 80 mm. The shape of the blade is therefore larger and has been designed to be easily and gradually placed between the patient and the ground. The use of HC3 material grants an overall structural stability and allows high thermal insulation. This helps to prevent hypothermia and, thanks to the stretcher design, enables to extend the stay of the patient on the device.

A further technologic revolution is the use of the FlexiLock articulated locking device which enables both to separate the stretcher in two halves and to rescue in unnatural positions and tough situations. Then, beside the standard rescue techniques, ERGON enables to easily carry out rescuing operations in difficult and uncomfortable places even when the patient is in critical conditions.

Ergon is the only stretcher able to perform variable geometry manoeuvres. This particular configuration can be obtained using the releasing jointed arm of the Flexilock locking device. Ergon is easy to close even in difficult situations where conventional scoop stretchers are unsuitable. Once the two half-strechers have been closed, even if in a log-roll position, the patient rests solidly on the full lenght of the stretcher. The patient can now be transferred safely and the rescue professionals can complete the rotation manoeuvre (complete supination).

The tests performed on Ergon satisfy EN 1865 standards as regards load, flexion and torsion stress.

Ergon is radio-transparent and amagnetic, so it can be used in X-ray and MRI scans.
